Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• The Senior Accountant will lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• 
  
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• 
  
• Analyze financial results and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• 
  
• The Senior Accountant will support financial reporting requirements and management reporting initiatives
• 
  
• Assist with compliance related to government contracts and regulatory requirements
• 
  
• Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure efficient financial operations
• 
  
• The Senior Accountant will support external audits and provide documentation as needed
• 
  
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• 
  

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant Role

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 
  
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• 
  
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
• 
  
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• 
  
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
• 
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• 
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
