The team is driven by a commitment to keeping global air travel running smoothly. Within this fast-moving and team-oriented environment, the finance function plays a key role in supporting expansion and maintaining operational strength. In this Senior Accountant position, youll be part of a tight-knit finance department based east of Phoenix.
The role offers consistent interaction with leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams including sales and operations, giving you visibility into and influence over the companys financial performance and direction. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Record and validate journal entries with a high level of accuracy
Complete account reconciliations promptly, investigating and resolving any variances
Oversee monthly and annual close cycles, including coordination with external auditors
Compile and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
Contribute to reporting by performing expense reviews and making necessary ledger updates
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance review processes
Ensure adherence to GAAP by maintaining and strengthening internal control procedures
Recommend and implement workflow improvements to drive efficiency and data accuracy
Partner cross-functionally to ensure financial data is complete and reliable
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or progress toward certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a portion in public accounting environments
Solid knowledge of U.S. accounting standards (GAAP)
Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail and organization
Familiarity with Accounting Seed and Salesforce is advantageous
Ability to translate financial data into clear insights for non-finance audiences and leadership
Proactive, resourceful, and collaborative mindset with a willingness to take ownership
