About the Role We are looking for a Senior Accountant to be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, management reporting, and supporting the strategic financial planning for Evestia Clinical. This role is key to ensuring financial control, accurate forecasting, and timely analysis to support executive decision-making and profitable execution of client-sponsored clinical trials.What will your job look like? Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS)Prepare detailed management reporting packages, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods, and present findings to senior leadershipDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve the financial forecasting and annual budgeting models across key functional areas (e.g., Clinical Operations, Business Development)Oversee and manage the accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and general ledger functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracyCoordinate with Project Management and Business Development teams to track project profitability, utilization rates, and revenue recognition according to contract termsAssist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with treasury management and cash flow analysis to optimize working capitalEnsure all financial operations comply with internal controls and external regulatory requirementsParticipate in the financial due diligence and integration planning for potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or strategic investmentsSupport external auditors during annual audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentationLead and mentor junior finance and accounting staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional developmentWhat will you need to succeed? Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldProfessional certification preferred (CIMA, CPA or CFA)Senior-level finance or accounting experience, ideally within a CRO or pharma/biotech environmentStrong FP&A background including budgeting and forecastingFull-cycle accounting experience with knowledge of GAAP/IFRS reporting standardsProficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or NetSuite) and advanced Excel financial modellingExperience working cross-functionally on project-based profitability and operational performanceStrong analytical skills with high attention to detailSolid grounding in accounting principles and financial best practicesAbility to translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholdersComfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh integrity with a commitment to ethical financial practiceWhat we offer you in return?
