Position Summary

Richwell Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team in City of Industry, California. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced business environment.

The Senior Accountant will oversee and perform a variety of general accounting functions, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable support, month-end closing, and financial analysis.

This position will work closely with the Controller, management, and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting transactions.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting transactions for accuracy.
• Monitor cash activity and assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation.
• Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliation, as applicable.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and other financial reviews.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Assist the Controller and management with special projects and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with operations and other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Protect confidential financial and company information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Strong general ledger and account reconciliation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other financial functions.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software; experience QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting is a plus.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, retail, real estate, or other operationally complex environments is preferred.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems are highly desirable.
