We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Senior Accountant to join our team. This position will be integral in supporting our finance and accounting operations. As a Consulting Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close, grower accounting, costing, audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, cash management, trial balance, financial reporting, vendor management, contracts, GAAP, multiple entities, and subsidiary ledgers.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinate and execute the month-end and year-end close process.
3. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
5. Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
6. Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
7. Forecasting and budgeting of operational costs.
8. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including cash receipts and expenditure, accounts payable and receivable, cash forecasting, and revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
9. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure timely and accurate compliance.
10. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
11. Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close process, including revenue recognition, expense review, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
12. Oversee and manage all general ledger activity.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
4. Proven experience as a senior accountant with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
9. Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
10. Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
11. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
12. Strong knowledge of audit and internal controls, vendor management, and contract management.
13. Experience with multiple entities and subsidiary ledgers.
14. Demonstrated ability to improve and streamline processes to increase efficiency and improve results.
