McCrory Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and accounting functions for our projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers and other team members.This is a full-time, salaried position based in Columbia, South Carolina.Key ResponsibilitiesManage accounts receivable processesMonitor and report on A/R agingReconcile key accounts and resolve discrepanciesProcess weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulationsPost weekly payroll entries accurately to the general ledger and make appropriate job cost allocationsMaintain payroll records, including timesheets and deductions, and reconcile payroll accountsMaintain compliance with accounting standards and company policiesAssist the CFO with monthly reportingServe as the primary point of contact for third party auditsProvide accounting and reporting support for subsidiariesCoordinate with broader accounting team to balance workload and back up supportQualificationsMinimum 5 years experience in a full cycle accounting role, preferably in the construction industryStrong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principlesProficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint Spectrum a plus)Experience with advanced functions in Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlinesEffective communication and interpersonal skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
