Senior Accountant QuickBooks Online & Inventory Focus
Columbus, NE | $25-30/hr DOE | Part-Time with Full-Time Potential

Are you an experienced accountant who enjoys digging into the details and making a real impact on a growing business? We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established, agriculture-based company with $5 10 million in annual revenue. This is an opportunity to take ownership of key accounting functions, work closely with leadership and help streamline processes in a collaborative environment.

Start part-time at 20-25 hours per week with a strong opportunity to transition into a full-time role. Hybrid or remote flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
What You'll Do

• 
  Lead day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks Online
  
• 
  Manage inventory records, cycle counts and item setup
  
• 
  Ensure accurate ledger coding and maintain sales pricing records
  
• 
  Process vendor bills and oversee accounts payable
  
• 
  Review customer billing, invoices and monthly statements
  
• 
  Manage accounts receivable collections
  
• 
  Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  
• 
  Maintain and close the general ledger
  
• 
  Prepare 1099s and account reconciliations
  
• 
  Assist with financial statements and management reports for the CFO
  
• 
  Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis
  
• 
  Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
  

Qualifications

• 
  Significant inventory accounting experience is required
  
• 
  3+ years of accounting experience
  
• 
  Experience with QuickBooks Online
  
• 
  Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  
• 
  Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
  
• 
  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  
• 
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  

Preferred Experience

• 
  Background in agriculture or construction
  
• 
  Experience working with inventory-intensive businesses
  
• 
  Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve operations and reporting
