What You ll Do:
" Provide full cycle accounting for a portfolio of class A office properties in the DC Metro Region
" Create month-end accounting journal entries. Work with property staff, lease administration, and other internal teams to ensure property financials are accurate & complete.
" Review all general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness
" Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX workpapers.
" Draft variance report comments which explain a property s performance against budget and prior periods.
" Calculate tenant recovery billings for CAM and Tax
" Review new leases at property to ensure accurate revenue recognition and recovery set-up.
" Provide support for audit and tax compliance teams
" Provide support for ad hoc ownership requests
" Provide support to property management team. Be able to explain complex information to others without a financial background.
" Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with RISE values
" Work within the client standard procedures to achieve
What You ll Need
" Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
" Experience with Yardi preferred
" Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
" Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
" In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)
