Job SummaryA Western New York-based technology company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our in-office team. The ideal candidate is a CPA and demonstrates advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. In this full-time, salaried role, you will be involved in key financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, nationwide tax compliance, year-end financial preparation, regular internal reporting, and the management of internal controls.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Oversight: Manage the General Ledger and prepare regular financial reports to management.
- Quality Control: Oversee quality control of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), aging, collections, and Purchase Orders (PO).
- Tax & Compliance: Monthly sales tax on a nationwide scale and ensure overall financial compliance.
- Year-End Preparation: Lead the preparation of year-end financials for our external accounting firm.
- Internal Controls: Maintain, develop, and enforce internal accounting controls and policies.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Interface seamlessly with administration, accounting staff, and other departments, alongside other potential tasks as needed by management.
Qualifications & Requirements- Certification: Being an active CPA in good standing is required.
- Software Proficiency: Strong, demonstrated experience utilizing QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
