Team members collaborate across disciplines to deliver reliable, real-time insights that support safer environments for communities and organizations.About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our growing team in Knoxville, TN. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional with at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years of SEC reporting experience who thrives in a collaborative, office-based environment and is passionate about financial accuracy, compliance, and business advisory services.The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, overseeing accounting operations, supporting tax compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership. This position will report to the Controller and will assist the CFO as necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review internal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required disclosures.Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries.Coordinate and support annual audits and tax filings.Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements.Prepare and review sales tax, and other regulatory filings as needed.Assist Controller and CFO as necessary.Mentor and support junior accounting staff when applicable.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.3+ years of SEC reporting experience, including preparation and review of SEC filings and related disclosures.Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial reporting standards.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Preferred:Experience managing multiple entities or business units.Experience with audit preparation and tax planning.BenefitsCompetitive salaryCompany stock that will vest over timeHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and continuing education supportCPA license reimbursement and CPE assistanceCareer growth opportunities within a stable and growing organization#J-18808-Ljbffr
