    Position Title: Senior Accountant
    Location: Washington, D.C. / Hybrid
    Clearance: Public Trust
     
    Summary: The Senior Accountant provides financial management, accounting, budget execution, resource analysis, and operational reporting support to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). The position works closely with program leadership, budget analysts, and operational personnel to ensure accurate financial information, monitor resources, support financial planning, and provide management with timely decision-quality information.
     
    This is a hybrid position with onsite presence up to two-three days a week in Washington, DC. Ideal candidates must be US Citizens with the ability to obtain/maintain an active Public Trust clearance.
     
    ** This position is contingent upon contract award. **
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform financial analysis, accounting support, reconciliation, and validation of financial data.
    • Track funding, commitments, obligations, expenditures, balances, and execution against established plans.
    • Analyze variances and identify financial trends, anomalies, risks, and potential funding shortfalls.
    • Support development of annual, quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports.
    • Assist with budget forecasts, spend plans, staffing analyses, and resource allocation decisions.
    • Integrate financial and operational information into dashboards and executive reporting products.
    • Conduct data quality reviews and reconcile information between financial, program, and operational systems.
    • Support financial data calls, audits, reviews, and requests for information.
    • Develop and maintain financial SOPs, procedures, trackers, and documentation.
    • Coordinate with program managers, budget analysts, Government stakeholders, and other functional teams.
    • Support continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting processes.
    • Prepare briefing materials and translate complex financial data into concise management-level information.
     
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
    • 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting, financial management, or financial analysis experience.
    • At least 3 years supporting Federal Government financial management strongly preferred.
    • Strong experience with budget execution, reconciliation, financial reporting, and funds tracking.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, financial models, and data analysis.
    • Experience developing executive-level financial reports and presenting analytical findings.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
     
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • CPA, CGFM, or similar financial-management certification.
    • Experience with Federal financial/ERP systems, Oracle Financials, or comparable platforms.
    • Power BI and/or Tableau.
    • SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
    • Experience supporting appropriated-fund environments and Federal fiscal-year execution.
     
    Salary Range: $130,000–$160,000 annually. The anticipated compensation range represents TTC’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, contract requirements, and other job-related factors.
