Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all accounting functions including:
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses.
- Prepare and review balance sheet recinciliations and resolve reconciling items.
- Prepare financial and compliance reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and cost accounting activities.
- Perform treasury activities including cash reconciliations and forecasting.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure timely recording of accounting transactions.
- Utilize SAP for financial reporting, accounting analysis, reconciliations and close activities.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and SAP process efficiences.
- Support internal and external audits and internal control compliance.
- Provide analytical support to operations and other departments.
- Drive cost-improvement efforts accross all aspects of the business.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary.
- Lead and uphold safety policies, practicies, and standards.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial close and GAAP
- Minimum of 2 years of SAP experience

Preferences:
- Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience (steel or heavy industry preferred)
- Experience with SAP ERP, financial reporting tools, and large-scale ERP environments
- Active CPA or CPA candidate
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
