    Description

    The Wolff Company, a multifamily-focused real estate investment firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our private equity real estate platform and play a key role in supporting a portfolio of 5+ investment funds and related entities. This position offers exposure across the full fund lifecycle—from monthly close and financial reporting to capital activity, cash management, and audit coordination. Individual funds have unique structures and transactions, providing technical variety.This role is well-suited for an experienced accountant who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and process improvement within a collaborative team.This role is hybrid, with an expected in-office presence 1 day per week (Wednesdays) at our Scottsdale, AZ office. Occasional additional in-office days may be necessary to support important projects, collaboration, or meetings.What You Will Be DoingFund Accounting & Financial ReportingSupport accounting and fund administration for multiple private equity real estate funds, each with distinct structures and operational considerationsLead the monthly close process of assigned balance sheet accounts, including preparation and review of reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items for both audited and unaudited fundsPrepare financial statements and related schedules in accordance with US GAAP on a monthly and quarterly basisProduce year-end working papers and actively support fund audits and reviewsCalculate fund management fees and reconcile payments and accounting entriesAssist in coordinating capital calls, distributions, and any other Fund transactionsAssist with cash management reporting, reconciling distribution and contribution accounts as neededAccounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)Assist with supervision of cash activitiesReview invoice support, appropriate approvals, internal and external communications, and wire detail instructions prior to payment releaseReconcile cash receipts and disbursements to bank activity and investigate and resolve discrepanciesProcess Improvement & GrowthLeverage available tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve controlsDocument operating procedures for assigned accounting activitiesOpportunity for additional responsibilities as you progress in the roleRequirements3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year of public accounting strongly preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related fieldCPA or progress towards CPA is encouragedSolid foundation in US GAAP, with exposure to investment or fund accounting preferredStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple entities and deadlinesProactive mindset with strong problem-solving skillTechnical knowledge and application required for Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
