Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant for a Manufacturing partner of ours in the Golden Valley area.
- Pay: $45-$55/hr
- Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
- Contract to hire
- Fully Onsite, ASAP Start
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account variances
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
- Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve processes and controls
- Partner with operational leaders to support business initiatives and reporting needs
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies
- Mentor junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliation processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar
- CPA certification or CPA track preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
