Senior Accountant

Kforce's client, a large, established organization in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Financial Reporting function in a review-level role supporting multi-entity operations.

Summary: This team is prioritizing candidates who have hands-on experience applying AI and/or automation within accounting workflows. You should be able to demonstrate how you've leveraged automation to improve close processes, reconciliations, reporting accuracy, or efficiency. This is a core requirement, not a preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the general ledger close cycle (month, quarter, year-end) including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting
• Identify, investigate, and resolve variances and discrepancies
• Drive process improvements, with a focus on automation and efficiency
• Support audit and compliance activities, including documentation and controls
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including system and reporting support
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance financial visibility and decision-making
