Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Cascade, MI (onsite/hybrid)
Salary: $85,000-$90,000

We're working with a fastgrowing organization that operates a nationwide network of private middle and high schools, and they're looking for a driven, detailoriented Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning key pieces of the monthend close, producing accurate financial reporting, and digging into data to uncover insights. You'll work closely with both the accounting team and crossfunctional partners, helping maintain strong internal controls while continuously improving processes as the organization scales.

Senior Accountant Core Responsibilities:

• Lead core monthend close activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Analyze financial results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Partner with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and address accounting questions
• Manage large volumes of financial data with precision and attention to detail
• Support system upgrades, implementations, and process enhancements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Navigate shifting priorities and multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment
• Take on additional projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

• 2+ years of public accounting experience or 4+ years in general accounting
• Strong analytical skills and solid Excel capabilities
• Experience with systems such as NetSuite, Great Plains, or Salesforce
• High attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
• A processfocused mindset and understanding of downstream impacts
• Strong problemsolving abilities and the confidence to tackle complex issues
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
