What to expect:
Working under general direction, prepares a wide variety of financial and grant accounting analysis/reports, journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules. Coordinates and maintains general ledgers and operating fund accounts of HUD companies. Reconciles bank statements, accounts reconciliation, and other reports required by regulating agencies. Assists in the annual external, Uniform Guidance, 440, and other sponsor audit process. Position will also have one direct report.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. HUD Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain HUD books of accounts, prepare financial statements and accounts reconciliation.
- Review all HUD journal entries to ensure reliability and integrity of transactions.
- Perform regular variance analysis of budget versus actuals to ensure completeness of transactions entered in HUD books of accounts.
- Reconciliation of HUD Due to/Due from intercompany account with corresponding program sponsor’s intercompany account in Oracle.
- Prepare regulatory requirements for all HUD companies such as PRAC Renewal, SAM Registration ,etc.
- Perform all other HUDs-related analysis and reports needed for management decision-making.
- Collaborate with HUDs programmatic team and other stakeholders for any financial reporting requirement or questions they may have.
- Assist with annual audit process for all HUD companies and provide PBC items to auditors.
- Supervise one HUD Accountant position.
2. Grants Accounting and Reporting
- Assist with preparation of grant financial reports, revenue calculation, and budget review.
- Prepare annual Form 440 and routine Forms 437 and Form 438 for grants.
- Collaborate with program leaders and various team members in maintaining a central repository of contract/agreements, budget documentations, financial reports and/or invoices on a current basis.
- Collaborate with Grant Managers for the preparation or gathering of supporting documentations or PBC items for external, Uniform Guidance audit, 440 audit or any other sponsor audit.
- Maintain a tracker of financial reporting/invoicing requirements to ensure that all deliverables are met in a timely manner.
3. Accounts Analysis
- Prepare reconciliation for assigned general ledger accounts, investigate reconciling items, and prepare correcting entries as necessary.
- Analyze AR Aging Reports and follow-up collection of accounts as necessary.
- Perform significant analysis work related to annual financial audit, Uniform Guidance audit, and other special audits as required.
4. Special Projects/Others
- Assist with any systems-related initiative and help ensure successful implementation.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by the Director of Grants Accounting and/or the Senior Director of Finance

This position has a pay range of $67,999.78 to $108,576.83 USD.
