    Summary:Location: Thomas Building, East Campus – 1200 25th Street South, Great Falls, MT 59405Work Mode: Local Preferred | Remote Candidates ConsideredDuration: 26-Week Assignment (6 Months)Potential Extension or Contract-to-Hire OpportunityFree, dedicated parking availableResponsibilities:Perform and own month-end and year-end close activitiesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjusting entriesPerform complex balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesPrepare financial statements and support financial reporting requirementsResearch accounting issues and determine appropriate accounting treatmentSupport annual audits, budgeting processes, and tax-related requirementsManage intercompany accounting and reconciliation activitiesSupport financial operations within Workday FinancialsIdentify process improvement opportunities and strengthen accounting controlsServe as a resource for accounting-related projects and initiativesCommunicate financial results, accounting issues, and recommendations to leadershipMaintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAct as an internal consultant and trusted accounting resource when appropriateDemonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and accountability in all aspects of the roleRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance plus minimum 4 years of hands‑on accounting experience OR Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance plus minimum 2 years of hands‑on accounting experienceActive CPA License RequiredDirect ownership of month‑end and year‑end close processesDirect ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reportingMulti‑entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany accounting experienceExperience preparing and supporting consolidated financial statementsExperience preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjusting entriesExperience preparing financial statements, variance analyses, and management reportingExperience supporting annual audits, budgeting activities, and tax‑related requirementsExperience researching accounting guidance and applying appropriate accounting treatment to complex transactionsExperience working independently with minimal oversight in a fast‑paced accounting environmentExperience communicating accounting concepts and financial results to leadership and cross‑functional stakeholdersHealthcare accounting experience preferredRequired Workday Financials Experience: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Financial ReportingRequired Accounting Skills: Month‑End Close, Financial Reporting, Journal Entries, Accruals, Adjusting Entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Intercompany Accounting, Financial Statement Preparation, Variance Analysis, Audit Support, Microsoft ExcelPreferred Skills:Workday Accounts Payable experienceWorkday implementation or conversion experienceEPIC experienceBlackLine experienceMulti‑entity consolidationsStrong accounting judgment and problem‑solving abilitiesAbility to discuss complex accounting scenarios and explain accounting decisionsStrong communication skills with leadership and cross‑functional teamsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesDemonstrated ownership of accounting processes, not just transactional processingAbility to work collaboratively while operating independently when neededBenefits:Company will provide approved housing options and reimburse reasonable travel, lodging, and related expenses during the required on‑site period#J-18808-Ljbffr
