We are partnering with a local company in Greensboro, NC, that is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, and a solid understanding of GAAP principles and ERP systems.
Essential Duties

Manage past-due accounts receivable collections.
Maintain a strong understanding of and oversee WAWF invoice entry and collections.
Oversee customer and vendor returns, including preparation of credit memos.
Develop, maintain, and own financial reporting processes.
Prepare timely reports and critical financial information to support fact-based decision-making.
Direct Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring vendors are paid according to agreed terms and customer payments are received in a timely manner.
Manage Ramp credit card and payment management systems.
Support additional accounting functions, including payroll and financial reporting.
Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and policies to ensure compliance and establish best practices.
Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with official guidelines and requirements.
Manage journal entries and reconcile accounts for monthly and annual closings.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Participate in the annual audit process and provide required information.
Develop reports for management and regulatory agencies, including NIB reporting.
Review accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances, provide recommendations, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain signing authority for purchases, expenses, and check writing.
Assist with annual physical inventory processes.
Oversee North Carolina Sales and Use Tax filings and other required governmental filings.
Utilize accounting systems and technology to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
Maintain a solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and related regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Required Skills and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP software such as SAP or Sage X3.
Experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable within an ERP environment.
Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong analytical, forecasting, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations.
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including budgeting, financial closing, and reporting.
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Analyst, or in a similar role.
Advanced Excel modeling skills required.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI or IBM Cognos Analytics preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
Master’s degree in Accountancy preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience required.
