I am partnered with an 80 year old manufacturer based in Chicago, IL on a Senior Accountant opening. This is a newly created role as the team continues to grow, acquire new companies, and build internally. The team provides a hybrid work model, ability to be collaborative with the CFO, Controller and find ways to improve processes.

My client is looking for a progressive and hungry for growth Senior Accountant to join their PE-backed, fast paced organization within the manufacturing industry. This role will provide you with opportunity to work side by side with the CFO, own the month end close process, and gain exposure to both mergers/acquisitions & financial budgeting.

Description

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Managing the month end close process with the Controller and CFO
  • Conduct journal entries, bank reconciliations, accruals
  • Supporting cash applications, AP/AR
  • Gaining exposure to M&A activity
  • Participate in accounting analysis with where things stand against budget
  • Owning the external audit
  • Partner with Controller and CFO on process improvements

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding in GAAP accounting
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Public accounting experience
  • Ability to be collaborative
