We're looking for an experienced
Senior Accountant who enjoys helping clients succeed through tax planning, accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. This is a full-time, in-office position offering diverse, year-round work with opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and take on increasing responsibility as our firm continues to grow.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Accountant, you'll play an important role in providing high-quality service to our clients by:
- Preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping engagements.
- Preparing compiled and internally prepared financial statements.
- Assisting clients with year-round tax planning and compliance.
- Responding to IRS and state tax notices and correspondence.
- Representing clients before the IRS when appropriate.
- Assisting clients with accounting questions and business operations.
- Working with both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
- Maintaining accurate electronic workpapers and client documentation.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure exceptional client service.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
- Three to five years of public accounting or professional tax preparation experience.
- Experience preparing individual and business income tax returns.
- Experience in performing bookkeeping and preparing financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of federal and Ohio tax law; and IRS procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Preferred
- Experience preparing fiduciary (estate and trust) income tax returns.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
- Experience using UltraTax CS or similar professional tax software.
- Experience with tax planning and client advisory services.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Point.
- Payroll tax and payroll processing experience.
