Talented Senior Accountant!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a meticulous Senior Accountant to analyze production costs, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes. The role involves performing advanced and specialized accounting activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.Responsibilities+ Participate in month-end close by ensuring all financial transactions for the month are accurately recorded and reconciled promptly. This includes preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting in financial reporting.+ Conduct detailed analysis of production costs, including direct materials, labor, and overheads, to ensure accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.+ Supervise inventory levels, track usage, and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate valuation and minimize waste or shortages.+ Prepare and present comprehensive reports on manufacturing costs, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making by Senior management.+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements in all cost accounting activities, including responding to audit requests with accurate and complete support.+ Monitor and analyze cost variances, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective measures to align with budgeted targets.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires the ability to work with ERP systems like QAD or Oracle Hyperion. The role demands proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation.
