Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Clean Team, Inc., Corporate office in Toledo, OH

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

The Company: A family-owned and operated commercial cleaning company since 1996 with locations in 9 states. We are a growth-minded organization acquiring companies that fit our strategic plan and culture. Additionally, we distribute janitorial supplies and products in 4 states. We also own and operate a commercial cleaning franchise company, IntegriServ Cleaning Systems, LLC and own properties in various markets.

Position Overview: Clean Team is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting software. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and contributing to the preparation of financial statements. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high quality work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, fixed assets, account reconciliations, and sales and use tax returns.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and account standards.
  • Review, reconcile, and resolve account discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and analysis of performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the financial aspects of business operations.
  • Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-location environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA or CMA designation (or in progress) is a plus, but not necessary
