HEICO is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant III for its Electronic Technologies Group (ETG) based in Hollywood, Florida. This position reports directly to the Vice President, ETG Accounting & Finance.
In this position, the ETG Senior Accountant III will likely:
Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for entities within the ETG.
Prepare necessary top-sided journal entries for eliminations or adjustments of foreign GAAP to U.S. GAAP.
Serve as a remote Interim Controller for recently-acquired subsidiaries that lack Controller role.
Assist with the implementation of internal controls at recently-acquired subsidiaries.
Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Provide financial and operational support to the HEICO subsidiaries.
Observe the year-end physical inventory counts at the HEICO subsidiaries.
Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external SEC reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return.
Perform and assist with other duties and special ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Masters Degree highly preferred
- CPA license preferred
- Minimum of four to six years of progressive experience in financial accounting, public, and/or industry
- Strong general ledger and inventory cost accounting experience a plus
- Knowledge in areas such as intercompany transactions, financial consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, non-controlling interests, purchase accounting, and foreign exchange accounting a plus
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management.
Strong analytical and Excel skills able to manipulate high volumes of data.
Highly responsive to customer requirements with a high attention for detail and accuracy.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
