Job Details

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end close activities, and partnering with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insights. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
Support internal and external audit requests
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Partner with business leaders to provide financial analysis and recommendations
Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, or similar)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and business partnering skills

Preferred Qualifications
CPA designation or CPA-track
Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm)
Experience in manufacturing, energy, construction, real estate, healthcare, or professional services industries
