Job Details

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Energy industry. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in the Energy oil and gas sector. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, journal entries, and financial statements. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, SEC reporting, and other financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, legal, and finance, to ensure that all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification is Preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on the Energy oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with month-end close processes, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
