Are you an experienced accountant looking to join a stable, growing company where your work will have a direct impact on the business?
Our client, an established Houston-based oil & gas trading company with more than a decade of success, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll play a key role in the company's accounting operations while gaining exposure to a dynamic commodities trading environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Own general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close
Prepare accurate financial reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
Assist with trading settlements and inventory reconciliations
Partner with leadership to improve reporting and financial performance
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of accounting experience
Oil & gas, commodities, or energy industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
