Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• 
  
• Research and investigate accounting variances while identifying opportunities to improve financial accuracy and reporting processes.
• 
  
• Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
• 
  
• Assist with maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• 
  
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives, financial reporting, and special projects.
• 
  
• Contribute to process improvements and help streamline accounting procedures as the organization continues to grow.
• 
  
• Serve as a resource within the accounting department by providing support on complex accounting issues and assisting with system enhancements as needed.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 
  
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong month-end close responsibilities.
• 
  
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• 
  
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred.
• 
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working within an ERP system preferred.
• 
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
