    Description

    Senior Accountant - Houston, TX The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports. This is an on-site position and requires office presence at the facility. 

    Responsibilities
    • Execute the month-end and year-end close processes and manage the full accounting cycle, including reconciliations, journal entries, Intercompany, and account analysis.
    • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
    • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
    • Manage accounts payable functions.
    • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.
    • Prepare and file 1099 and sales and use tax.
    • Assist with annual financial and bank audits.
    • Collaborate with other departments while supporting process and ERP improvements.
    • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
    • 4+ years of general accounting experience.
    • Proficiency in Excel.
    • Experience in Epicor, M2M, or other ERP systems is a plus.
    • Clear understanding of accrual accounting vs. cash accounting.
    • Exhibit strong work ethics and motivated initiative-taker attitude.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
    • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
