Senior Accountant

UNITY Search is partnering with a Houston-based multi-generational family office managing a diversified portfolio of direct and passive investments across public and private markets, to identify a Senior Accountant for its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to move beyond traditional corporate accounting and gain exposure to private equity, investment accounting, financial reporting, and family office operations.

What You’ll Do:
• Lead key components of the month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting
• Review journal entries and financial statements prepared by staff accountants
• Support private equity investment accounting, fund statements, capital calls, and distributions
• Assist with quarterly investment valuations and external investor reporting
• Lead intercompany accounting processes
• Support budgeting, audits, and research/resolution of accounting issues
• Help improve accounting processes and overall efficiency

What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPA and/or public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Family office, private equity, or investment banking experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail, judgment, integrity, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid environment

Compensation: $115,000 base + 15% bonus
Location: Houston, TX (Galleria)
Work Environment: Hybrid
