Senior Accountant

A growing real estate investment and property management company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team and play a key role in supporting a rapidly expanding multifamily portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, partnering with leadership, and contributing to process improvements in a collaborative environment.


Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll have exposure to all aspects of property accounting while helping support a growing portfolio of multifamily assets across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of multifamily properties

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements

  • Complete bank reconciliations and cash account reconciliations

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

  • Manage general ledger activity and journal entries

  • Analyze financial performance and resolve accounting discrepancies

  • Support investor and ownership reporting requirements

  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting

  • Collaborate with accounting leadership on process improvements and automation initiatives

  • Work closely with property operations and executive leadership teams


Qualifications



  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Property accounting experience strongly preferred

  • Multifamily real estate experience highly desired

  • Commercial real estate accounting experience will also be considered

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management/accounting software desired

  • Strong Excel and financial reporting skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment

  • Self-starter with a proactive, team-oriented mindset


Compensation & Benefits



  • Base salary: $85,000–$95,000
