Senior Accountant (Hybrid/Remote)

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant with a manufacturing partner of ours in the Golden Valley area!

• Pay: $45-$53/hr
• HYBRID/REMOTE Flexibility
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
• Contract to Hire
• ASAP Start

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Perform complex account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Monitor and improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Assist with cash management, fixed asset accounting, and accrual calculations.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and operational teams.
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports for management review.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience managing month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
