Senior Accountant I

First Community is currently searching for a Sr. Accountant. This person would be responsible for working in detailed accounting areas, including general ledger analysis, trend analysis, and expense reporting, board reporting and budget variance analysis. Prepares periodic reports, reviews, and reconciles data, prepaid asset analysis and a variety of accounting tasks.

Will also prepare entries and adjustments to Credit Union records, files, and statements and performs daily end-of-day balancing.

Other duties can include preparing journal entries, preparing financial statements and reports for internal use, researching and managing reconciliation outages, assisting in monitoring budgets and identifying potential variances and participating in month-end close.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or finance preferred.

Experience

• Three to five years of similar or related experience
