Summary In this role you will serve as a senior member of the accounting team with primary responsibility for preparing and reviewing general ledger accounts. You will have a key role in day-to-day accounting activities ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and assist in the design and improvement of processes for collecting analyzing and reporting financial information. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take on increased ownership and gain hands-on experience within a public company environment.

Duties and Responsibilities Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately timely and completely in accordance with GAAP and that the books are closed each period on a timely basis. Compile and analyze financial information to review and complete reconciliations along with preparing journal entries. Lead the accounting oversight for promotional trade credits ensuring completeness accuracy and appropriate financial statement presentation. Actively participate in the implementation of an automated trade credit system driving process improvements system controls and scalability. Perform financial analysis including research and explain fluctuations in operating expenses reserves freight spend and other key accounts. Support annual audit requests and the departments compliance with SOX. Participate in special projects and perform ad-hoc analysis and duties as directed.

Education Bachelors degree in Accounting CPA is preferred.

Experience Minimum 5 years in finance and accounting preferred public accounting experience.

Skills Proficiency in NetSuite and related partners is a plus. Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. High degree of initiative exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and commitment to a high level of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with other accomplished professionals within and across functionsteams. Requiresstrong documentation skills. Enthusiastic self-motivated with the ability to improve processes and overcome inefficiencies. Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication.
