We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization and play a key role in supporting accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This position offers strong visibility across the business and the opportunity to contribute to the development of scalable financial processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activity
- Perform bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and vendor payments
- Support payroll processing and related reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Monitor accounts receivable and support collections efforts
- Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
Project & Operational Accounting
- Support project setup, cost tracking, and financial reporting
- Review labor allocations and project-related expenses
- Assist with profitability and utilization analysis
- Ensure proper coding and compliance of expenses
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support accounting and payroll systems administration
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Maintain accounting procedures and documentation
- Assist with reporting enhancements and system optimization
- Help build scalable processes to support organizational growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with payroll processing and reconciliations
- Project accounting experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
