As a key member of our Lease Accounting, Administration & Analysis team, you'll play an integral role in revenue recognition, financial reporting, technical accounting, and process improvement initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform the day-to-day accounting for the Lease Accounting, Administration & Analysis function, including but not limited to:o Accounting for revenue recognition of new and amended leases.o Proactively assist with monitoring many active leases.o Perform technical accounting research related to complex leases and lease terminations.o Assist with technical accounting research and preparation of above- and below-market lease calculations for acquired leases.o Track lease deliveries for GAAP rent recognition.o Prepare rental revenue assumptions for annual budgets.o Prepare monthly straight-line rental revenue reconciliations and fluctuation analyses.o Prepare tenant recovery and rental revenue fluctuation analyses.o Reconcile general ledger accounts to subledgers and supporting schedules.
Partner across Accounting and Asset Services teams to provide accounting and financial analysis support, including:o Assist with lease abstracts related to operating expense recoveries.o Support the year-end CAM reconciliation process.o Resolve lease-related accounting inquiries and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly Accounting Reporting packages for executive management review.
Contribute to the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, as well as quarterly supplemental reporting.
Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Contribute to departmental goals, strategic initiatives, and special projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required.
Strong technical accounting skills required.
Public accounting experience highly preferred.
Experience with lease accounting and/or commercial real estate highly preferred.
Technical accounting research skills are a plus.
Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Yardi accounting software experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The expected base hourly wage range for this position is $ 52.88 to $64.90 USD hourly, plus an annual discretionary bonus. This hourly wage range is an estimate, and the actual hourly wage may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the individual's knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, job location, and the Company's compensation practices.
