We are currently seeking an experienced: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT JOB SUMMARY: Prepare and record journal entries and ensuring the accuracy of the entries Maintain the financial reports and general ledger accounts while ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded, prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations Researching and correcting account discrepancies Meeting all monthly and ad-hoc reporting deadlines while gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function Analysis of accounts with the use of queries to review discrepancies and/or trends Assisting with audits and other inquiries as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance. Five or more years of experience in Accounting. One or more years of experience with Medicare Advantage or PACE is preferred.Working knowledge of Medicare Advantage or PACE program is also preferred Proficient in use of MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel and other basic computer skills Knowledge of accounting and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Detail oriented and able to maintain information in an accurate and organized manner. Highly ethical with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within theirdepartment and with other departments. Proficiency with ERP accounting software and other computer-based tools to work efficiently. Possess the ability to interact well with all staff levels with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Must be service oriented, an excellent team member and able to juggle multiple priorities with shifting of agendas.
