Senior AccountantBeyond TalentEdge has an immediate need for an experienced Accounting professional to join our client—an exciting photonics start‑up in Rochester, NY. This position offers a growth opportunity within the company's trajectory.As the Senior Accountant you will support the financial operations, month‑end close, payroll activities and benefits administration. Referrals increase your chances of interviewing by 2×.Base pay range$65,000 – $85,000 per yearResponsibilitiesLead monthly and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts; reconcile bank accounts.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card/expense report audits.Manage biweekly payroll processing; review wages, deductions, and benefit changes.Coordinate employee benefits updates, open enrollment tasks, and payroll liability reconciliations.Prepare sales tax filings and support fixed asset and prepaid schedules.Assist with financial reporting, budgeting support, and audit preparation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting required.5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.Strong Excel and ERP skills (Microsoft NAV or similar).Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Paycor) and benefits administration preferred.Strong accuracy, organization, and ability to manage tight deadlines.CPA or CMA a plus.Shift / Pay / LocationDays – Monday‑FridayIn Office$65,000 – $80,000Reporting to ControllerBeyond TalentEdge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
