this is your opportunity to step into a key leadership role at a company on the rise.What You'll Be DoingAs a Senior Accountant at Nextech, you'll play a central role in ensuring the
financial accuracy, integrity, and operational efficiency of our growing organization. You'll lead core functions like journal entries, reconciliations, sales tax compliance, and debt reporting; all while mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements across departments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Month-End Close & General Accounting- Prepare and post key journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Analyze financial statements, identify variances, and escalate unusual trends
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and audit processes
- Review and mentor work completed by junior accounting staff
- Assist with financial data preparation in reporting systems (e.g., OneStream, Oracle HFM)
Cash and Debt Reporting and Reconciliation- Maintain accurate debt schedules, track principal/interest payments
- Prepare journal entries for debt service and related accruals
- Perform bank reconciliations for a high volume business with multiple bank accounts
Sales Tax Compliance (Preferred)- Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Generate monthly sales tax reports, calculate taxable revenue by state
- Collaborate with the Tax team to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and Nextech accounting policies
- Proactively seek out improvements that streamline processes and enhance accuracy

Min CompensationUSD $80,000.00/Yr.
Max CompensationUSD $95,000.00/Yr.
What We're Looking ForWe're seeking a driven and collaborative accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting, including GL and reporting
- Direct experience with sales tax reporting and debt schedule management
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting controls
- High proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, IF formulas; VBA a plus)
- ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite preferred)
- Familiarity with ASC 842 and ASC 606 is strongly preferred
- Background in large or private equity-backed companies ($100M+ revenue) is a plus
