    Description

    The Role
    The Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation, recording, and analysis of financial activity related to E-commerce platforms, departments and/or corporate entities in the consolidated GOJA family.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Ensure consistent coding of transactions across corporate entities in accordance with the company’s chart of accounts.
    • Responsible for the timely review, adjustment, and reconciliation of general ledger transactions/balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Track, monitor, and process recurring journal entries.
    • Provide supporting documentation and thorough account analysis for management review.
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, as assigned, monthly per close schedule, and record required journal entries in a timely manner.
    • Maintain an environment of strong internal controls.
    • Assist in the preparation of accounting processes and procedures and ensure that they remain accurate and up to date.
    • Be an active participant in accelerating the monthly close process through continuous re-engineering and system integration.
    • Adherence to US GAAP and parent company accounting manual for correct interpretation and registration of transactions.
    • Assist in the timely preparation of the monthly financial reporting packages for management and auditors.
    • Use accounting transaction and reporting systems to generate reports, respond to inquiries, conduct
    research, and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
    • Assist departmental management with detailed research and necessary adjustments to their account
    balances.
    • Other duties as per request.

    Education & Knowledge
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (REQUIRED)
    • Advanced business degree and professional certification preferred
    • Minimum of 5-7 years progressive experience in the general ledger, accrual / financial reporting, and analysis with US GAAP / IFRS (REQUIRED)
    • Public accounting audit experience a plus.
    • Prior experience with NetSuite or similar accounting application preferred.
    • Knowledge and experience in both internal & financial controls.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ability to quickly learn new software uses &
    applications.

    Skills & Abilities
    • Read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language (REQUIRED).
    • Written and spoken Spanish, a plus
