Earthtones Companies seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing key insights into the company’s financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
  • Work closely with the accounting team that:
  • Manages and oversees daily operations
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for significant deviations in financial performance.
  • Maintains the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
  • Manage lien process and notice preparation
  • Assists with the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Develops and implements accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and support in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure proper development of staff and conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide support in managing workflow, allocating tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  •  Experience with QuickBooks, Aspire, or Acumatica software is preferred.
  •  Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
  •  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  •  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
