TOP SKILLS:

Job Description:
Contract Senior Accountant supporting the GL Accounting team through month-end close for a 3-month term. Responsibilities: prepare and reconcile cash journal entries and accrual entries, tie cash activity to bank statements, support accrual completeness, and ensure accurate GL/department coding under US GAAP within tight close deadlines.

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented contract Staff Accountant to support our GL Accounting team through the monthly close for a 3-month engagement. This role backfills a key contributor and focuses on cash and accrual journal entry preparation and reconciliation in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly cash journal entries across all bank/cash accounts and tie each cash leg to bank statements by amount and date.
• Prepare and maintain accrual journal entries; support accrual completeness and proper period cutoff.
• Reconcile bank and cash accounts; investigate and resolve reconciling items.
• Ensure accurate GL account, department, class, and cash-flow coding on all entries.
• Support multi-entity and multi-currency (FX) transactions.
• Partner with AP, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and FP&A to gather support and resolve questions.
• Maintain SOX-compliant documentation and support the entries through review/approval.
• Meet strict month-end close deadlines and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of GL / month-end close accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accruals.
• NetSuite (or comparable ERP) experience required.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
• High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to work independently under deadlines.
• SaaS/tech industry or similar environment
• SOX and SQL/Databricks experience a plus.
