Senior Accountant- Middlesex County, NJ
Join our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical sector, as a Senior Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role on a collaborative finance team, supporting financial integrity, process improvements, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting functions and serve as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Provide critical audit support by compiling documentation and working with external auditors.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance protocols to protect company assets.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (including operations, supply chain, and quality assurance) to ensure data accuracy.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as perform variance analysis.
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions, including invoicing and expense reporting.
- Utilize ERP/accounting systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel functions
