Purpose of the Job:The Senior Accountant plays a key role in our Financial Service Department. A Senior Accountant performs a variety of tasks related to the financial reports, forecasting, and general ledger processes for the company, while also supporting other financial projects as needed by the department. The position's goal is to provide the best quality of service to internal customers, ensuring complete satisfaction while also incorporating and practicing HCSG 5 Marks - Safety, Integrity, Efficiency, Legacy, Respect - in all aspects of job performance.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:All aspects of GL closingSales and property tax reportingCollaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior‑level managersReview and reconcile the general ledger regularlyAnalyze past and current financial data/performance and provide forecasting supportOrganize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metricsAssist in financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project controlHelp develop financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.Evaluate current capital expenditures and depreciationIdentify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvementCoordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecastsDevelops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.Support other aspects of accounting management (tax forms, reporting etc.)Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirementsAssist in the preparation of annual budgets and projectionsParticipate in preparation for the annual audit and provide support as neededHelp in the development of reports for management or regulatory bodiesReview the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalancesUtilize accounting ERP system to facilitate processes and maintain recordsAssist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practicesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or higherAt least 3 years of experience in AccountingSkills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificates:Ability to communicate efficiently and professionallyExperience using accounting software to generate and analyze reportsIntermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel and WordDemonstrate respect for all individualsHave an analytical mindset and be able to problem‑solveConsistent, accurate, thorough, and detail‑orientedExceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbersAbility to thrive in a deadline‑driven environmentPreferred QualificationsNetSuite knowledge2-3 years of public accounting experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) licenseEquipment Used in Job Performance:Computer / LaptopThe qualified candidate will be able to pass drug, alcohol, background, and motor vehicle check.#J-18808-Ljbffr
