Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in New York City (Hybrid).

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building and scaling accounting operations, driving process improvements, and implementing automation within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Responsibilities:
- Senior Accountant will support and execute the month-end close process, helping drive improved close timelines and efficiencies
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules
- Partner on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, and cash management workflows
- Assist with external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Perform variance analysis and support management reporting
- As a Senior Accountant, you will identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and workflow enhancements
- Contribute to the development of internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial operations and support continued company growth
Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounting, audit, or finance experience
- Experience working in a fast-growing, evolving business environment
- Strong understanding of month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Demonstrated success improving processes, increasing efficiency, or implementing automation
- Strong systems aptitude with the ability to learn and optimize new technologies quickly
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Self-starter with an ownership mentality and a desire to help build and improve processes
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, system upgrades, or finance transformation initiatives
- Exposure to internal controls, audit support, and compliance-related activities
- Experience in technology, SaaS, cloud, professional services, or other high-growth industries
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
