    Description

    We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team, supporting our client in Norfolk, VA. This position requires a mix of on-site presence at Naval Station Norfolk and remote work, currently structured as two days on-site and three days remote. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.Role and ResponsibilitiesApply Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) standards:Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Concepts (SFFAC)Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)Apply Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Adhere to the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR)Perform advanced accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulationsAnalyze financial data and prepare accurate financial reportsSupport the development and maintenance of financial policies and proceduresProvide strong written and verbal communication to effectively convey financial information to stakeholdersUtilize Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for financial analysis and reportingExperienceA minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experienceProven understanding and practical application of FASAB, FASB GAAP, and DoD FMRStrong proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsEducationBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Required)Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (Required)LicensesCertified Public Accountant (CPA) (Required)CDFM, CGFM, CIA, and/or CISA (Preferred)Job FeaturesJob Category Financial ConsultantBenefits Paid time off, Health and Dental insurance, Retirement benefits, Flexible schedules#J-18808-Ljbffr
