Senior Accountant Opportunity

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company in Branford that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step up in responsibility and gain broader exposure across accounting, finance, and operations.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with leadership and have responsibilities that go well beyond traditional month-end accounting, including financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow, inventory, costing, and process improvement.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• 
  
• Prepare monthly financial statements, annual reports, and financial forecasts
• 
  
• Manage and support AR, AP, payroll, inventory, costing, and general ledger activities
• 
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• 
  
• Analyze financial results and prepare variance reporting
• 
  
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and management
• 
  
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
• 
  
• Support inventory and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
• 
  
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
• 
  
• Partner with leadership on financial analysis and business initiatives
• 
  

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 
  
• 3–5 years of accounting and financial experience
• 
  
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• 
  
• Strong financial reporting and general ledger accounting experience
• 
  
• Experience with forecasting and financial analysis
• 
  
• Exposure to inventory and cost accounting
• 
  
• Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
• 
  
• Ability to work cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership
•
