Salary: $100K-$115K

Overview:

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly and other ad hoc schedules as needed by the finance team.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • CPA certification a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems and automated reconciliation tools.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
