    Description

    Inland Private Capital Corporation (IPCC) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting and the close process for a diverse real estate investment portfolio, including complex, multi-entity structures.This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across teams to drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

    What You'll Do

    Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned portfoliosPrepare GAAP financial statements, along with lender and investor reportingSupport investment-level audits, including audit schedules and responding to auditor requestsReview property-level financials for accuracy, compliance, and reasonablenessAnalyze financial results and prepare variance analysis, investigating discrepanciesMaintain portfolio data and records within YardiReview and interpret general ledger activity to ensure completeness and accuracyPartner with internal teams (Finance, Asset Management, etc.) to resolve issues and improve processesAssist in enhancing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsMentor and support the development of staff accountantsContribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives

    What You Bring

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)3-7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate, investment, or private equityPrior audit and/or tax experienceStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparationExperience supporting external auditsFamiliarity with lender and investor reportingAdvanced Excel skills (data analysis, lookups, complex workbooks)Experience with Yardi or similar accounting systems preferredStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

    CPA preferred but not required.
