LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join one of our clients in Oakland, California. This role is 100% in-office. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support our company's growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning and filings.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record as a Senior Accountant.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Experience with a medium to large ERP is preferred
- Highly proficienty with Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with the manufacturing industry is a plus.
Experience: 5 years of senior level accounting experience
